Community Service

I. Introduction
I did my community service at Fowler High School with Mr.Gates and in the spring of 2016 through the dates of 4/7/16 and 4/8/16.

II.    Profile of the organization(s) you worked for. I worked for Mr.Gates and Mr.Gates is a PIG and Economics teacher at Fowler high school. Mr.Gates is a teacher at the high school and not only does he teach he tutors after school. Mr.Gates provides his services Monday-Friday from 7:50 to 3:00. At fowler high school in Rm 206 and sometimes in the Fowler high school library. There is a need for Mr.Gates service so that students at Fowler high school can get a education.

III. The mission statement of the organization. Fowler High School recognizes that each student is an individual; that all students are creative; that all students need to succeed. Therefore, Fowler High School respects the individual needs of students; fosters a caring and creative environment; and emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, intellectual development of each student.

III.  Description of the specific tasks you performed for he organization or individual For my community service with Mr.Gates I did index cards for the students that Mr.Gates may tutor for the Global History Regents.

IV.  Discuss any memorable personal experience I had a positive feeling during my community service because I knew that it would help the students that have to take the Global History Regents get that regents behind them. This helped Mr.Gates because he will have index cards for when the time comes to tutor the students that need help passing the Global History Regents.

VI.  Conclusion: I feel like I made a difference because I knew in the end it would help Mr.gates and the students that he hepls prep for the Global History regents.  I think that the impact of community service has on our society because it helps you as a person feel good about yourself and also benefits the community.  Yes I would recommend my community service opportunity because it will help them feel good as a person in the end because they will feel like they helped other people accomplish something and it also help Mr.Gates and lightens his load in the end.
