Research Paper
The cold war was not a physical war it was just conflict with the U.S. and Germany. The cold war begun when Germany tried to spread communism.
The Cold War was a state of political and military tension after World War 2 between powers in the Western Bloc and powers in the Eastern Bloc. And on
the day of the 22nd of October in 1962 soviets set up missiles 90 miles
from the shores of the United states. The soviets went to Eastern Europe
and basically went to war with them and killed anyone who didn't want to
fall to communism. The soviets and the U.S. didn't have a physical war
because the U.S. and the soviets made an agreement to not invade Cuba.
Some of the main reasons the soviets put missiles in Cuba was to boost their power by attacking them with nuclear attacks and
to also bolster the Soviet Union's bargaining position in its attempts
to force West Berlin to join East Germany. And also the soviets wanted East and West Germany to unite and then the Iron curtain came along to separate East and West Germany. But the soon to be disaster
was avoided when the U.S agreed to not invade Cuba.
After WW2 the United states and soviets union had a non-violent conflict but was settled when the U.S. agreed to not invade cuba. So at the end of the conflict there was no room for anyone to flex there muscles or to even prove who was stronger
